This policy explains how personal data is used when you visit storiesbeyondprofit.com and contact Stories Beyond Profit.
1. Who is responsible
SB Media is the data controller for handling Stories Beyond Profit contact enquiries. For questions about this policy or to exercise your rights, contact contact@sbmedia.gr.
2. Data we use
The contact form collects your name, email address, optional company or brand, and message. Required fields are needed to receive and handle your enquiry. You can alternatively contact us directly by email. Please do not include health information, payment details or other sensitive information.
Hosting and content providers may process technical data such as your IP address, browser information, time and requested page or file to operate and secure their services. OpenAI Sites also provides unique visitor and page view statistics.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use contact details to answer enquiries and consider collaboration proposals. Where you request steps towards a possible contract with you, processing relies on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other business enquiries, website operation and security, and understanding traffic rely, where applicable, on our legitimate interests in communication and secure, effective operation (Article 6(1)(f)). Any legally required retention relies on the relevant legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
Sending a message does not subscribe you to a newsletter or marketing list. We do not use the form to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Services receiving data
The form is submitted to FormSubmit, which forwards the message to contact@sbmedia.gr. Your information therefore passes through FormSubmit and the business email provider. People handling the relevant enquiries for SB Media have access to those messages.
The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites. Episode images, thumbnails and audio files may load from external providers, including Spotify/Anchor infrastructure, YouTube and content delivery networks. Loading a file sends the provider the technical information needed to deliver it. Links to Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts and social networks lead to services with their own privacy policies.
Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. OpenAI Sites does not currently offer a choice to keep data exclusively within a particular geographic region. You can ask SB Media for information about recipients and the applicable safeguards for international transfers.
5. Cookies and statistics
Google Analytics and Meta Pixel have not been added to the website code. This does not mean that hosting, security or external content services do not process data. OpenAI Sites statistics are provided by the hosting platform.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. Where consent is required for optional cookies or similar trackers, a choice must be provided before activation, with a way to withdraw consent. This notice does not constitute consent to such trackers.
6. Retention
We retain correspondence for as long as needed to review and resolve your enquiry and any related collaboration. Further retention is assessed based on the nature of the enquiry, legal obligations and the need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Retention of technical logs and copies by external providers depends on their services and policies.
7. Your rights
Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests and, where applicable, request portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Send requests to contact@sbmedia.gr. We normally respond within one month, subject to the exceptions and extensions allowed by the GDPR. Reasonable identity verification may be required. You may also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
8. Policy updates
